Consideo Supports School Sustainability Project in Schwarzenbek

Consideo GmbH has supported an educational initiative titled "Unsere Schule ist WERTvoll" (Our School is VALUABLE) at Gymnasium Schwarzenbek. The project involved high school students developing proposals to reduce the school's environmental footprint.

The project, held in November 2016, focused on key areas such as creating a paperless school, reducing food waste, recycling electronic scrap, and promoting fair trade and ecological clothing. Consideo, along with Projektbue.ro für Vernetztes Denken (Hans-Werner Hansen), provided guidance and support to the students.

Students presented their project outcomes and proposed measures to an audience of nearly 500 guests, including local officials, environmental group representatives, and business leaders. Following the presentation, several of the students' suggestions were slated for implementation within the school.

Karsten Neuhaus from AWSH Abfallwirtschaft Südholstein GmbH praised the students' commitment and their ability to identify connections and derive effective measures. Gabriele Golbeck from Gymnasium Schwarzenbek highlighted how the project fostered problem-solving skills and a sense of responsibility among the students. Hans-Werner Hansen noted the students' demonstrated potential to address sustainability-related societal issues.

Consideo continues to back initiatives that encourage young people to actively participate in developing and implementing solutions for a sustainable future.
