Consortium launches post-quantum security pilot with banks and regulators
The Responsible Fintech Institute, with Safeheron as technology partner, has launched a pilot to evaluate and potentially open-source quantum-resilient infrastructure for digital asset transfers.

The Responsible Fintech Institute, in collaboration with technology partner Safeheron, has initiated a pilot project focused on post-quantum security for digital asset transactions. The initiative aims to develop and potentially open-source quantum-resilient infrastructure for wallet generation and cross-jurisdictional asset transfers.
The pilot will operate within a regulated, cross-jurisdiction setting, involving participation from both banking institutions and regulatory stakeholders. The goal is to assess the viability and security of advanced cryptographic methods against future quantum computing threats.
This project addresses the growing concern within the financial industry about the potential impact of quantum computers on current encryption standards. By proactively developing and testing these new security protocols, the consortium seeks to ensure the long-term safety of digital assets and financial systems.
The outcome of the pilot is expected to contribute to the creation of open-source solutions, enabling broader adoption of quantum-resistant technologies across the financial sector and beyond.
