Consumer Appliance Startup EDT Raises $2.4 Million
Indian consumer appliance startup EDT has secured $2.4 million in pre-Series A funding to expand its product portfolio and strengthen distribution. The funds will support product development and inventory growth.

Mumbai-based consumer appliance startup EDT has raised $2.4 million (over INR 23 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by existing investor Sauce.vc, with participation from previous angel investors and new strategic investors including venture debt firm Alteria Capital and several industry entrepreneurs.
The company plans to utilize the capital to broaden its product offerings across home, kitchen, and personal care categories. The funding will also be directed towards enhancing research and development capabilities and expanding distribution channels, including direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms, online marketplaces, and offline retail. EDT manufactures appliances such as air fryers, electric kettles, and dryers, aiming to increase inventory in anticipation of increased demand during the festive season.
Founded in 2025 by former MyGlamm co-founder Naiyya Saggi and industrial design studio Analogy founder Vyasateja Rao, EDT operates in the consumer appliance segment. The startup recently launched a new hairdryer line named SUKI, which incorporates EDT's proprietary patent-pending CareDry algorithm, marking an expansion into beauty tech.
This funding round follows EDT's previous $1.4 million raise in December 2025. The Indian consumer appliance market is experiencing growth, with investors showing increased interest in companies capable of delivering premium, design-led products. Other similar ventures, such as Cradlewise and Nester, have also secured significant funding recently.
