Consumer Council's Class Action Lawsuit Against Riverty

The Norwegian Consumer Council has initiated a class action lawsuit against the financial services company Riverty regarding invoicing fees charged by parking companies. The lawsuit covers specific fees from January 1, 2023.

The case, filed at Oslo District Court under number 24-186492TVI-TOSL/01, sees the Consumer Council representing consumers who have paid invoicing fees to parking companies that are clients of Riverty.

Riverty issues invoices on behalf of parking operators. If these invoices are not paid by the due date, the debt is transferred to Riverty for collection. It is emphasized that the lawsuit exclusively concerns the invoicing fees, not the cost of the parking service itself.

Consumers who have paid invoicing fees covered by the lawsuit to Riverty between January 1, 2023, and the date of a final court ruling are automatically included. No action is required from their side.
