Content creators' actions led to US Open match interruption

Content creators using ring lights in a luxury suite at the US Open caused enough of a distraction to prompt the umpire to pause Naomi Osaka's match against Anastasia Zakharova and ask them to quiet down.

The incident occurred earlier this week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The individuals were reportedly packing a suite and using ring lights.

Elsewhere at the venue, other creators were seen asking US Open staff to take photos of them with flash photography while the match was in progress.

The USTA had reportedly increased the number of content creators granted access to the event, with media operations director Jeanmarie Daly stating the tournament was "almost doubling" the number of creators it was accommodating.
