Context Labs to open Abu Dhabi headquarters following 22/x investment
Context Labs has secured a strategic investment from the Abu Dhabi-based 22/x platform to establish a regional headquarters and expand its AI data infrastructure business in the MENA region.

Context Labs has received a strategic investment from 22/x, an Abu Dhabi-based investment and incubation platform. The deal includes a long-term agreement to establish a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, signaling the company's intent to scale its operations across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The firm specializes in building AI data infrastructure designed to provide a secure and verifiable foundation for enterprise AI. By ingesting operational data and performing cryptographic verification at the source, the company aims to ensure full data provenance for AI models and agents. This is particularly relevant for sectors such as energy, utilities, and financial services, where data integrity and regulatory compliance are essential.
"AI is only as good as the data underneath it," said Dan Harple, CEO of Context Labs. The partnership with 22/x is expected to leverage local expertise in critical infrastructure to deploy industry-specific applications. Yousif Al Nowais, Chairman of 22/x, stated that the initiative aims to help local industries modernize and maintain control over their proprietary data while adopting advanced digital tools.
Moving forward, the new regional headquarters will focus on supporting local enterprises as they integrate Context Labs' infrastructure into existing assets. The partnership intends to foster long-term industrial capabilities and support the broader digital economy in the UAE and surrounding markets.
