Context Labs to Open Abu Dhabi Regional HQ Following Strategic Investment from 22/x

Context Labs has entered into a strategic agreement with the Abu Dhabi-based investment platform 22/x, backed by the Nowais family. The move includes an equity investment and the establishment of a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi to support operations across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The partnership aims to deploy Context Labs' data infrastructure, which focuses on verifying data lineage and provenance, into sectors including energy, utilities, and critical infrastructure. The technology provides a framework for organizations to ensure that enterprise AI models are built on tamper-proof, verified data—a concept the company refers to as sovereign AI.

"AI is only as good as the data underneath it, and enterprises have to be able to verify that data before AI can be trusted to act on it," said Dan Harple, founder and CEO of Context Labs. The company plans to integrate its AI Distillery platform into local regional assets, allowing organizations to maintain control over their data and decision-making processes.

For 22/x, the partnership serves as a mechanism to accelerate digital transformation among regional industrial players. Yousif Al Nowais, Chairman of 22/x, stated that the initiative aims to modernize operations and build local technical capacity, helping businesses adopt advanced AI while retaining strict control over their sensitive information.
