Continuous Composites Receives US Navy Contract for 3D Printing Technology

Continuous Composites (CCI) has secured a new contract with the U.S. Navy to advance its Continuous Fiber 3D Printing (CF3D) technology. This agreement is a continuation of a prior Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) initiative and specifically targets the development of embedded electrical systems within unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) structures.
The CF3D technology enables the 3D printing of composite materials, potentially offering significant advantages over conventional manufacturing methods. The objective of this project is to utilize the technology for producing UAV components while simultaneously printing electrical elements, such as wiring, directly into the structure.
