Contura Orthopaedics Discusses Arthrosamid® for Knee Osteoarthritis at BASK 2026

Contura Orthopaedics participated in the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) 2026 conference, held on April 14-15 in Glasgow. The company's team connected with healthcare professionals specializing in knee surgery, research, and physiotherapy.

The discussions at the Contura exhibition stand focused on addressing the treatment gap for knee osteoarthritis, particularly the space between short-acting injections and surgical intervention. Arthrosamid®, a non-surgical treatment, was highlighted as a potential solution.

A new white paper, "Inside the Science: A Major Step Forward for Knee Osteoarthritis," commissioned by Contura Orthopaedics, was launched at the event. The paper reviews emerging treatment approaches and research into Arthrosamid®, featuring perspectives from orthopedic experts.

Contura also hosted a BASK HIT (High Intensity Teaching) session titled "Bridging the Treatment Gap: Arthrosamid®’s Elasticity-Driven Mode of Action." This session presented research on the product's mechanism of action and clinical results.
