CoolFly Exhibits Electric Personal Aircraft at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
Electric eVTOL aircraft developer CoolFly displayed its Dream ST aircraft at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The aircraft is intended for recreational use and offers a single-pilot experience.
CoolFly, a developer of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) personal aircraft, made its debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The company showcased its Dream ST model, a single-seat, seated eVTOL designed for recreational flying.
The Dream ST is software-limited to approximately 43 mph (70 km/h) with an estimated flight time of 20 to 30 minutes. CoolFly focuses on single-pilot aircraft rather than multi-passenger air taxi models. The company is developing the Dream ST with the aim of meeting FAA Part 103 regulations for ultralight vehicles.
CoolFly's lineup also includes the Urban model, a standing-position ultralight aircraft. Both aircraft utilize CoolFly's proprietary NA80 eVTOL flight-control system, which features redundant flight-control units for fault detection and failover.
The company used its first AirVenture appearance to seek partnerships with potential U.S. dealers and distributors. CoolFly also plans a product event on August 10 to provide further details on its personal aircraft lineup and flight control technology.
