Copia Automation Expands Industrial Backup and Recovery Platform to 160+ Integrations

Copia Automation has announced expanded support for its industrial backup and recovery platform, now encompassing more than 160 integrations across various automation vendors, device types, and software versions. The update aims to standardize code management for operators who manage legacy systems alongside modern infrastructure, such as robots, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and network switches.

Large-scale industrial facilities often operate with fragmented backup habits, ranging from manual exports to storing project files on individual engineering laptops. This heterogeneity makes rapid recovery difficult during cyber incidents or hardware failures. Copia’s platform acts as a unified system of record, automatically capturing and version-controlling code from diverse assets without requiring firms to standardize their entire installed base.

CEO Adam Gluck stated that the company’s strategic goal is to support large-scale brownfield operations, ensuring recovery processes are not dependent on specific vendor lifecycles. Beyond operational resilience, the platform provides an audit-ready change history, which helps facilities comply with security standards such as NERC CIP and IEC 62443.

The platform currently supports equipment from manufacturers including Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Omron. Copia continues to incorporate new device types and software versions as industrial needs evolve.
