Corgi Insurance enters U.S. commercial auto market
San Francisco-based Corgi Insurance has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a business auto insurance product tailored for contractors and service fleets.

Corgi Insurance officially entered the commercial auto insurance sector on Tuesday, targeting the U.S. market segment valued at approximately $100 billion. The new offering, branded as Corgi Business Auto, is aimed specifically at contractors and small-to-medium service fleets.
The expansion represents a strategic move for the San Francisco-based firm, which seeks to capture market share by streamlining the policy issuance and claims process for commercial clients. By digitizing the underwriting process, the company intends to reduce the administrative burden typically associated with traditional commercial fleet insurance.
The commercial auto insurance industry has faced significant pressure in recent years due to rising loss ratios and increasing repair costs. Industry analysts note that fleet operators are increasingly seeking digital-first insurance solutions that allow for rapid adjustments to fleet size and coverage needs, a gap Corgi Insurance aims to fill with this new product.
With this release, Corgi Insurance broadens its footprint beyond its previous underwriting specialties. The company plans to roll out the service across multiple states throughout the fourth quarter of 2026.
