Cornerstone Robotics' Sentire ® laparoscopic surgical robot has obtained European Union CE marking and Singapore HSA approval, accelerating the company's global expansion strategy.
Shanghai, China – Cornerstone Robotics announced on May 25, 2026, that its Sentire ® laparoscopic surgical robot has received both European Union CE marking and approval from Singapore's Health Sciences Authority (HSA). These significant regulatory clearances are poised to accelerate the commercialization of the Sentinel robot in key international markets.
The Sentire ® system aims to enhance precision and efficiency in surgical procedures. The CE mark allows for its sale across all European Union member states and the European Economic Area, while the HSA approval grants access to Singapore's healthcare sector, a crucial hub for Southeast Asia.
Cornerstone Robotics recently completed an oversubscribed funding round of approximately $200 million, with participation from global strategic investors and sovereign wealth funds. This capital infusion is intended to accelerate commercialization efforts and expand the company's global footprint. Previously, the company secured over 500 million RMB in financing from various venture capital firms.
The company has also actively pursued clinical validation and market presence. Clinical trials for the Sentire ® robot have commenced in the UK. Furthermore, Cornerstone Robotics has showcased its technology at international forums, including the MRC Symposium 2025, demonstrating its commitment to the global adoption of surgical robotics.
