Cosmos Diamonds Targets Indian Lab-Grown Jewellery Market

Cosmos Diamonds, an Indian jewelry company established in 2021, is expanding its presence in the country's rapidly growing lab-grown diamond market. The company focuses on offering traditional designs reflective of Indian culture and aims to alleviate customer concerns about value retention through its 100% buyback program.

Founder Sanjana Tripuramallu identified a market gap during her own jewelry shopping experience, noting that diamonds were expensive with uncertain resale values, making them inaccessible for many. She launched Cosmos Diamonds to bridge this gap, combining traditional Indian jewelry aesthetics with the affordability and ethical production of lab-grown diamonds.

The company's business model prioritizes trust and transparency. Unlike many competitors who offer only a percentage of the original value for buybacks, Cosmos Diamonds guarantees a full refund or exchange option, seeking to overcome consumer hesitation regarding the long-term value of lab-grown diamonds.

Cosmos Diamonds currently operates two physical stores in Bengaluru and Vijayawada. The company reported INR 20 crore (approximately $2.4 million USD) in revenue for FY2026, nearly doubling its performance from the previous fiscal year. The brand aims to expand its retail footprint to five strategic locations by the end of the current year.
