Country Music Hall of Fame to Open Exhibition on Roger Miller

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum announced it will open a new exhibition dedicated to the life and career of Country Music Hall of Fame member Roger Miller. Titled "Roger Miller: Wit, Wisdom, and Wonder," the exhibit will delve into the multifaceted talents of the artist, who achieved widespread acclaim in the 1960s.

Miller (1936–1992) rose to country-pop superstardom with self-penned hits like "Dang Me" and "King of the Road." During his career, he garnered 11 Grammy Awards and was the first country artist to win a Tony Award. Beyond his musical achievements, Miller was recognized for his sharp wit and his ability to excel across various artistic disciplines, including songwriting, singing, musicianship, and acting.

The exhibition will feature artifacts from Miller's extensive career, including instruments he played, awards, handwritten lyrics, and rare performance footage. Items on display will include a fiddle, a drawing he made of Hank Williams, and the Tony Award for the Broadway musical "Big River," for which he composed all the songs. His primary guitar from the 1960s and a motorcycle purchased after the success of his hit songs will also be exhibited.

"Roger Miller was a singular creative force," said Kyle Young, CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. "Though considered a musical genius and humorist, his greatest gift may have been his ability to connect with people. His songwriting still resonates today."

The exhibition opens on November 6, 2026, and will run through March 2028. It is included with museum admission. A short film produced by the museum and narrated by Marty Stuart will also be available to visitors.
