Montreal and San Francisco – AI platform provider Coveo has announced Coveo Relevance Generative Answering, a new feature integrating generative AI into its platform for enterprise use.
The new capability combines large language models (LLMs) with Coveo's existing secure, unified indexing capabilities. The aim is to enable secure and accurate generative AI responses within enterprises where security, privacy, and real-time data accuracy are paramount.
Coveo states that traditional LLMs face challenges in enterprise settings, including misinformation, lack of personalization, and security risks. Coveo Relevance Generative Answering seeks to overcome these by employing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), which blends LLM technology with the company's proprietary search and relevance engine.
The feature will be available for self-service use cases this summer, with broader applications in customer service, commerce, and workplace search to follow. It will leverage multiple LLMs to deliver personalized answers grounded in the enterprise's own secure and up-to-date data, including citations to original sources.
