COWI appoints Sidsel Stabell Hoppe as permanent head of Danish business
Engineering firm COWI has confirmed Sidsel Stabell Hoppe as the permanent head of its Denmark business line following an interim period that began in June 2026.
Engineering consultancy COWI has transitioned Sidsel Stabell Hoppe into the permanent role of Executive Vice President of Business Line Denmark. Hoppe has overseen the division in an interim capacity since June 2026, with the permanent appointment finalized following a recruitment process that benchmarked her performance against external candidates.
Hoppe is tasked with driving profitable growth, improving project delivery consistency, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration. As a member of the executive leadership team, she will continue to report directly to Group CEO Jens Højgaard Christoffersen. Her mandate includes both domestic operations in Denmark and the development of international key accounts.
Having joined COWI in 2007, Hoppe brings extensive experience in major transportation and tunnel infrastructure projects. The company also noted that Knud René Bjernemose will remain the interim leader for the Heavy Civil unit within the Danish business.
