Crabi, a Mexican insurtech company, is implementing a comprehensive digital strategy to disrupt the auto insurance sector in Mexico. The market, valued at $12 billion, currently has only 30% of vehicles insured, presenting a substantial opportunity for growth and innovation.

Historically, Mexico's auto insurance industry has faced challenges with slow and inefficient processes. Crabi addresses this by offering a fully digital, full-stack insurance solution. This technological approach automates many aspects of the insurance lifecycle, aiming to significantly improve operational efficiency compared to incumbents.

A key area of improvement is claims processing. While traditional insurers typically take one to two hours to resolve claims, Crabi reports an average resolution time of 45 minutes. This speed, coupled with full visibility for customers throughout the claims process, contributes to high customer satisfaction.

Crabi reports a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 80%, considerably higher than the industry average of 50-60% for established players. Camila Lecaros, Crabi's Chief of Staff and External Affairs, highlighted the market's 10-15% annual growth, noting that traditional insurers have been slow to adapt to digital solutions, creating an opening for companies like Crabi to offer a more streamlined and customer-centric service.
