Crédit Agricole Assurances Announces New Leadership Appointments

Séverine Tourtois has been appointed Director of Individual Savings and Retirement, and Jean-Luc François as Secretary General.

17 October 2026

Crédit Agricole Assurances, France's largest insurer and Europe's leading bancassurer, has announced two key appointments. Séverine Tourtois will take on the role of Director of Individual Savings and Retirement effective December 8, 2025, while Jean-Luc François will assume the position of Secretary General starting January 2, 2026.

Tourtois brings over 30 years of experience within the Crédit Agricole group, holding various positions in finance, risk management, and insurance operations. Most recently, she served as the Financial and Banking Director at Crédit Agricole Sud Rhône Alpes. Her appointment aims to accelerate the development of the individual savings and retirement business, a core focus for the company.

Jean-Luc François succeeds Bruno Moatti, who is retiring. In his new capacity as Secretary General, François will oversee legal affairs, compliance, public affairs, strategy, and the company's overall project initiatives. He has extensive experience in the insurance sector, including prior roles as head of International business and Director of Individual Savings and Retirement at Crédit Agricole Assurances.

These leadership changes are intended to support Crédit Agricole Assurances' strategic objectives and strengthen its position in a dynamic market, adapting to evolving industry challenges and regulatory landscapes.
