Crédit Agricole announced its first quarter 2015 financial results on May 6, highlighting strong business activity and improved financial metrics. The Group's total income rose to €8.035 billion, up 3.1% year-on-year. Income before tax reached €2.131 billion, an increase of 8.0%.
The Group’s net income amounted to €1.228 billion, a decrease of 1.9%. This reduction was attributed to adjustments related to specific regulatory impacts, including FRU and IFRIC 21, which collectively reduced net income by €416 million. Despite the decrease in net income, the company's financial solidity was underscored by a CET 1 ratio of 13.0%.
Crédit Agricole S.A. also demonstrated growth, with its income increasing by 7.5% to €4.359 billion and its operating income rising by 4.4% to €1.206 billion. The cost of risk decreased by 19.2% to €-477 million. The company’s net income saw a 2.6% increase, reaching €784 million.
