Crédit Agricole's Decade: 2010s Highlights
Crédit Agricole reviews the events of the 2010s as part of its 140-year history, emphasizing its purpose to act in the interest of its customers and society.

Crédit Agricole has published a review of the events of the 2010s as part of its 140-year historical survey.
At the beginning of the decade, Crédit Agricole consisted of 39 regional banks, which operated as full-fledged, independent entities and majority shareholders of Crédit Agricole S.A. The bank was active in all banking sectors, offering services to a wide range of clients, from individuals to businesses and institutions. At that time, the group also included the retail banking network LCL and had a presence across France and on all continents.
In 2019, the Group initiated an internal reflection to articulate its "raison d'être" (reason for being). This reflection concluded that Crédit Agricole's history and current operations are embodied by its reason for being: "To act every day in the interest of our customers and society."
Crédit Agricole states that at each stage of its history, it has chosen to orient its development and services to meet new customer needs and support societal changes. The bank emphasizes that its utility to customers and society, combined with the universality of its actions, has always guided and continues to guide its conduct.
