Creality 3D Publisher Guide on Common 3D Printing Issues and Fixes

Shenzhen Creality 3D Technology Co., Ltd. has published a guide that addresses ten common issues encountered in 3D printing. The document aims to assist users, from beginners to experienced makers, in identifying and resolving challenges such as poor bed adhesion, warping, and material extrusion problems.

The guide highlights that poor adhesion to the print bed is one of the most frequent issues. Creality attributes this to incorrect Z-offset settings, where the nozzle is too far from the bed, or a dirty surface. Recommendations include re-leveling the bed and adjusting the Z-offset so the first layer adheres firmly with slight compression. Cleaning the print bed with isopropyl alcohol before each print is also advised.

Warping, characterized by the lifting of print corners from the bed, is often caused by rapid and uneven cooling. The guide suggests increasing the bed temperature and using a brim for larger models to enhance surface contact and counteract material contraction. It also recommends limiting the use of cooling fans during the initial layers of a print to improve adhesion.

Other problems covered in the guide include "stringing" (excessive filament extrusion), under-extrusion, over-extrusion, and clogged nozzles. Solutions offered involve adjusting print temperatures, calibrating flow rates, and cleaning or replacing the nozzle. Creality emphasizes that most of these issues can be resolved through basic setting checks and regular printer maintenance.
