Creality announces K3 multi-material 3D printer
Shenzhen Creality 3D Technology has unveiled the K3, a CoreXY 3D printer featuring a nozzle-swapping system designed for multi-color and multi-material production.

Shenzhen Creality 3D Technology is launching its new flagship 3D printer, the K3, targeting the professional and enthusiast market with an expected price point under $900. The printer utilizes a CoreXY motion system and a rapid nozzle-swapping mechanism that performs material or color changes in 15 seconds.
Designed to handle various material types including PLA, PETG, and TPU simultaneously, the K3 incorporates four built-in filament slots and four nozzles. The manufacturer reports that the system maintains positional accuracy within 25 microns through extensive testing cycles of over 800,000 nozzle swaps.
From a software perspective, the K3 runs on Klipper-based firmware and is compatible with third-party slicers like OrcaSlicer. Creality has updated its own management software to version 7.0 to support the multi-nozzle and multi-material workflows. Advanced users are granted root access to the device out of the box.
Pre-orders are scheduled for mid-October. The company plans to release optional hardware bundles following the launch, including kits for specialized nozzle diameters and advanced flexible filament printing.
