Creality Releases Ender-5 S1 Desktop 3D Printer

Shenzhen Creality 3D Technology has launched the Ender-5 S1, the latest addition to its Ender series, priced at $559. The printer is designed for both enthusiasts and small businesses that require higher output speeds and structural durability compared to previous entry-level models.

The machine features an upgraded motion system capable of print speeds up to 250mm/s and an acceleration of 2000mm/s². Its Cartesian structure utilizes an all-metal cube frame, with high-precision stepper motors driving each axis to maintain accuracy during high-speed operation. Creality states the design is intended to support consistent performance for extended production runs.

A key specification is the integrated all-metal 'Sprite' direct extruder, which supports temperatures up to 300°C. This allows for the use of engineering-grade materials such as ABS, PC, and ASA, in addition to standard filaments. Thermal management is supported by a large-volume melting chamber and enhanced cooling fans designed to prevent warping and improve print detail.

The user interface is managed via a 4.3-inch touchscreen, while bed leveling is automated through a 16-point CR Touch system. To address safety concerns in high-performance desktop equipment, the printer uses aviation-grade connectors for its power supply and data connections.
