Florence "Floss" Turnbow, the oldest resident in Sandy, celebrated her 103rd birthday on Saturday, August 29, at Crescent Senior Living.
Turnbow, who has created over 6,000 quilts throughout her life, was surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors at the assisted living and memory care community.
Sandy Mayor Monica Zoltanski was among the guests honoring Turnbow's milestone. Crescent Senior Living is a community providing assisted living and memory care services in Sandy.
The celebration marked Turnbow's longevity and her prolific quilting work, highlighting community support for its elder residents.
