Cresilon Introduces Next Generation Hemostatic Gel
Biotechnology firm Cresilon Inc. has launched a new version of its TRAUMAGEL hemostatic gel. The updated product features a more compact syringe design intended for easier, one-handed application by first responders.
Cresilon Inc., a biotechnology company based in Brooklyn, has announced the launch of its next-generation TRAUMAGEL hemostatic gel. The new product was officially debuted at the EMS World Expo 2026 in Orlando, Florida.
The redesigned TRAUMAGEL comes in a more compact syringe format, designed for easy one-handed application. Cresilon states the new form factor optimizes portability and reduces the footprint for use by first responders in tactical, prehospital, and hospital settings. The original TRAUMAGEL will remain available and supported.
TRAUMAGEL is a plant-based hemostatic gel designed to control moderate to severe external bleeding within seconds. Cresilon indicates it is the first gel delivered in a syringe for traumatic hemorrhage control and requires no preparation for use.
CEO Joe Landolina highlighted the product's practical advantages for field use. "When a trauma patient is severely bleeding, every second matters. We developed next gen TRAUMAGEL to make it easier for first responders to carry and deploy this life-saving technology," Landolina said in a press release. He added that users benefit from the same proven bleeding control they rely on.
The company has pointed to peer-reviewed studies supporting TRAUMAGEL's efficacy in hemorrhage control, citing its use in complex traumatic injuries where conventional methods were insufficient. Cresilon was present at the expo to demonstrate the product and its applications in emergency medical services.
