CRIF and Fondazione Golinelli Select 10 Startups for I-Tech Innovation Program

CRIF and Fondazione Golinelli have announced the 10 selected startups for the second edition of the I-Tech Innovation acceleration program. The program received over 240 applications from Italy and internationally, with the chosen projects set to receive more than 1.5 million euros in investment.

The initiative aims to support new generations of entrepreneurs and bolster Italy's innovation ecosystem, which faces a noted technological lag. The selected startups span five sectors: Life Science & Digital Health (3), Fintech & Insurtech (2), Agritech & Foodtech (1), and the new experimental fields of Social Impact and Industry 4.0, Big Data processing-HCP & Applied Artificial Intelligence (2 each).

Participants will undergo the G-Force acceleration program, operated by G-Factor, which provides mentorship and support for business, technological, and financial development. This four-month program will feature guidance from international experts to help startups identify potential industrial partners and investors.

Residential activities will take place at G-Factor's facilities within Opificio Golinelli, as well as CRIF's new innovation hub, BOOM, scheduled to open in early 2023. The program also includes collaboration with partners such as Competence Center BI-REX, Emil Banca, and Gruppo BCC Iccrea, with BPER and Sara Assicurazioni contributing to the Fintech/Insurtech segment.
