CRIF GmbH, a global player in credit reporting and business information systems, has participated in a significant post-seed funding round for Latitudo 40, alongside Open Venture. The investment is intended to bolster the startup's internationalization efforts and growth trajectory.

Latitudo 40 specializes in transforming satellite imagery and raw data into actionable information models and datasets using artificial intelligence. The company's solutions assist businesses in managing climate-related risks and enhancing their resilience. This funding is expected to accelerate the development of new tools and platforms.

Founded in 2017, Latitudo 40 employs AI and machine learning to derive insights from Earth observation satellites. Its offerings cater to public sector organizations, urban planners, and critical infrastructure managers. The company launched its EarthDataPlace platform in 2023, which provides clients in Europe and North America with up-to-date information for event detection, predictive monitoring, and environmental risk management.

CRIF stated that the investment aims to strengthen collaboration and develop new products with Latitudo 40. The global reach of CRIF, operating in over 40 countries, is expected to help accelerate Latitudo 40's international growth. Latitudo 40 is part of CRIF's venture portfolio, which includes more than 20 startups invested in since 2017.
