Critical Metals Corp. Allocates $30 Million to Accelerate Tanbreez Project

Critical Metals Corp. announced a $30 million strategic program to expedite the development of its Tanbreez rare earth elements (REE) project in Greenland. The company's Board of Directors has sanctioned the investment, which will focus on advancing drilling, infrastructure, engineering design, and metallurgical programs.

The objective is to achieve initial ore production in the fourth quarter of 2028 or the first quarter of 2029, with concentrate exports commencing by the third quarter of 2029. Critical Metals Corp. states that Tanbreez is among the world's largest known REE deposits and has the potential to become a significant new source for Western markets.

The acceleration program includes $12.5 million for 2026 exploration and resource initiatives, involving up to 6,000 meters of drilling with multiple diamond drill rigs. The aim is to expand resources from an estimated 45 million tonnes to approximately 130 million tonnes. The plan also incorporates infrastructure acquisitions worth around $15 million in Greenland and Australia, alongside advanced metallurgical testing with European refining partners.

These initiatives build upon Critical Metals' successful exploration campaigns in recent years, which have reinforced Tanbreez's potential as a long-term source of critical minerals. The recent opening of an international airport 12 km from the Tanbreez site is expected to improve logistics. The company has also been engaged in discussions for offtake and refining partnerships in the United States, Europe, and Saudi Arabia.

Critical Metals has also secured a $120 million Letter of Intent (LOI) with EXIM Bank to support the project's development and financing. The company focuses on critical metals and minerals essential for electrification and the advancement of new technologies.
