Crocs secures circularity certification for footwear line
Crocs has received Cradle to Cradle Certified Circularity Gold for its Classic Clog, validating its design for circularity and use of recycled materials.

Footwear brand Crocs has attained Cradle to Cradle Certified Circularity Gold, Version 5.0, for its Classic Clog. The certification, granted by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, verifies that the footwear meets specific standards for circular design, material sourcing, and end-of-life recovery.
The certification also extends to the company’s Bae Clog and Keep It Going Classic Clog models. According to the brand, these products contain between 29% and 42% recycled material, measured via a mass balance approach. Crocs reports that approximately 31% of its global footwear portfolio now holds this circularity certification.
To support its circularity goals, Crocs continues to operate its 'Old Crocs. New Life.' takeback program, which is currently available in 345 retail locations across ten countries. The program aims to collect used footwear to be processed into new applications, keeping materials in the production loop longer.
