CrossBoundary Energy's 233 MW Kamoa Solar Project Begins Operation in DRC

CrossBoundary Energy's (CBE) 233 megawatt Kamoa solar project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has successfully connected to the grid at full capacity and commenced commercial operations. The project reached this milestone 16 months after the initial power purchase agreement was signed.

Located near the city of Kolwezi, the facility is expected to supply a significant amount of renewable energy to local mining operations. CBE focuses on developing, constructing, and financing renewable energy projects across Africa, particularly for industrial and commercial clients.

The completion of the Kamoa project represents a substantial step in the adoption of renewable energy within the region. Its aim is to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and support local economic development by providing stable, clean power.

CBE has previously completed multiple similar projects throughout Africa. The company's objective is to advance sustainable energy production and enhance energy accessibility on the continent.
