CrowdStrike acquires Fiddler AI and Dreadnode for $495 million
Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike is expanding its AI-focused security capabilities through the acquisition of two specialized startups.

CrowdStrike has announced the acquisition of Fiddler AI and Dreadnode, totaling $495 million in combined investment. Fiddler AI, a provider of enterprise AI monitoring systems, was reportedly acquired for $400 million, while Dreadnode, which specializes in AI security testing, was purchased for $95 million.
Following the acquisition, Fiddler’s technology will be integrated into the Falcon platform as Falcon Observe. Dreadnode’s capabilities, specifically in AI red teaming and vulnerability assessment, will serve to bolster security policy recommendations within the existing Falcon Guardian offering.
These acquisitions highlight a broader trend in the cybersecurity market as vendors seek to address the security gaps inherent in rapid AI adoption. As enterprises deploy AI models and agents, existing security frameworks are increasingly inadequate, forcing firms to acquire specialized technology to manage risks associated with AI-driven infrastructure.
