CrowdStrike acquires two AI security firms in $495 million deal

Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has announced the acquisition of Fiddler AI and Dreadnode in a combined deal valued at approximately $495 million. The move aims to expand the company’s ability to monitor, test, and secure artificial intelligence models and agents as they are increasingly adopted by enterprises.

Fiddler AI provides observability software for tracking AI agent performance and behavior, while Dreadnode specializes in automating security testing for AI models and applications before deployment. According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, the deal includes a $400 million price tag for Fiddler AI and $95 million for Dreadnode.

These acquisitions reflect an industry-wide push to address security gaps emerging from rapid AI adoption. As organizations integrate AI agents into their infrastructure, existing cybersecurity frameworks often struggle to keep pace, creating a significant market opportunity for specialized testing and monitoring tools.
