CSL and Alentis Partner on Rare Kidney and Liver Disease Drug
CSL and Alentis Therapeutics have signed an exclusive global agreement to develop and commercialize lixudebart, a therapy targeting rare kidney and liver diseases.

Biotechnology company CSL and Alentis Therapeutics have entered into a global partnership focused on the development and commercialization of lixudebart. Under the terms of the agreement, Alentis will receive an initial payment of US$355 million, with potential for up to US$1.2 billion in commercial milestones. The companies will also share in future global profits.
Lixudebart is an investigational therapy designed to address rare kidney and liver diseases. CSL will take over responsibility for the drug's clinical development, manufacturing, and global commercialization. Alentis will continue to conduct preclinical and early-stage clinical studies as per the agreement.
The therapy, lixudebart, is an antibody developed by Alentis targeting underlying mechanisms in inflammatory diseases. The company states its technology aims to create targeted treatments for conditions lacking effective therapeutic options.
This collaboration leverages CSL's global infrastructure and resources to advance Alentis's technology. CSL is known for its focus on developing treatments for rare and serious conditions.
