CStone and Kimia Therapeutics Partner on DDR-Targeting Cancer Drug Development
CStone Pharmaceuticals and Kimia Therapeutics have entered a clinical development agreement to test a new oncology candidate targeting DNA damage repair pathways in solid tumors.

CStone Pharmaceuticals has formed a clinical collaboration with Berkeley-based Kimia Therapeutics to advance a novel drug candidate designed to inhibit DNA damage response (DDR) pathways. These pathways are critical for the survival of solid tumor cells.
Under the terms of the agreement, CStone will spearhead Phase I clinical trials in mainland China and Australia. The trials aim to establish safety, pharmacokinetics, and initial efficacy profiles within biomarker-selected patient populations. Kimia will provide the necessary clinical supply and regulatory oversight for the asset, which was discovered using its proprietary ATLAS AI-driven platform.
Financial terms include a reimbursement structure for development costs, with CStone eligible for milestone payments and royalties on global net sales. This partnership follows CStone's broader strategy to monetize its clinical development expertise through collaborations with external innovators.
