CTM and Huawei Partner to Enhance Macau's Network Security with AI
CTM and Huawei are collaborating to strengthen network security in Macau during the AI era, focusing on intelligent and deterministic networks. The partnership was announced at Network X 2026 in Vienna.

CTM and Huawei have partnered to enhance network security in Macau, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to build a more secure and intelligent network infrastructure. The initiative aims to transition networks from traditional connections to an intelligent, deterministic, and secure framework, thereby accelerating digital transformation for businesses in Macau.
During a keynote at Network X 2026 in Vienna, CTM outlined its vision for a "smart, deterministic, and secure" network architecture. This approach incorporates AI-driven capabilities such as intelligent service perception and dynamic network optimization. The goal is to improve user experience and reduce international bandwidth costs by intelligently routing traffic.
CTM emphasizes that future network security must be an integral part of the network itself, moving beyond traditional perimeter defenses. The company has also initiated a joint innovation project with Huawei to prepare for the era of quantum computing, which includes integrating quantum key distribution (QKD) into IP architecture for enhanced security in critical data transmission.
The collaboration is expected to boost Macau's network competitiveness and offer a new model for global operators transitioning to intelligent and secure networks in the age of AI. This technological roadmap also facilitates the delivery of security capabilities as a service, reducing deployment times and costs.
