Ctrip Launches Support Measures for Travel Affected by Typhoon "White Dolphin"
Online travel platform Ctrip has initiated emergency response measures, offering free cancellations for flights and hotel bookings in regions impacted by Typhoon "White Dolphin".

Chinese online travel platform Ctrip has activated support measures for travelers affected by Typhoon "White Dolphin." The typhoon is forecast to make landfall on China's eastern coast in Zhejiang and Fujian provinces between August 9-10.
Notably, the typhoon's name is a direct translation of its English designation, "White Dolphin," diverging from traditional Chinese typhoon naming conventions.
In terms of air travel, Ctrip has stated that multiple airlines, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines, are providing free changes and cancellations for flights involving Zhejiang Province scheduled for August 9-10.
For hotel reservations, Ctrip has implemented protective measures in specific typhoon-affected areas. Customers with Zhejiang Province hotel bookings made on or before August 9, with check-in dates of August 9-10, are eligible for free cancellations. Additionally, certain hotel bookings in other regions, including Pingtung County in Taiwan and the Huangshan area in Mainland China, qualify for free cancellations within specified periods.
