CU SoCal Donates Over $340,000 to Southern California Communities

Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal) has donated over $340,000 to support non-profit organizations, educational initiatives, and community services throughout Southern California. The funding was distributed over the summer and targeted organizations serving Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

The donations supported a range of community-driven efforts focused on education, youth development, wellness, and essential services. Significant contributions included $35,000 to Soroptimist International of Whittier and the Whittier Host Lions Club, and $34,000 for families served by Ronald McDonald House Pasadena. Interfaith Food Center and the Welcome Home Project at Whittier Community Church also received combined support totaling $25,000.

CU SoCal President and CEO Dave Gunderson stated that the donations reflect the credit union's commitment to the communities it serves. "By partnering with organizations that provide essential services and opportunities, we can extend our impact beyond financial services and help create stronger communities," Gunderson said.

Founded in 1954, CU SoCal invests in initiatives that expand opportunity and improve quality of life across Southern California through charitable giving, sponsorships, volunteerism, and community partnerships. The credit union holds over $4 billion in assets and serves more than 187,000 members.
