Hyde Park, N.Y. – The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has inducted 16 distinguished graduates into its Alumni Hall of Fame, recognizing their substantial impact on the global food and hospitality sectors.
The class of 2026 includes award-winning chefs, prominent restaurateurs, television personalities, authors, and educators whose work has shaped culinary trends and hospitality standards worldwide.
CIA President Michiel Bakker stated that the inductees have "influenced how we cook, dine, entertain, and experience hospitality," setting new benchmarks for excellence and inspiring future generations of culinary professionals.
During the ceremony, the CIA also dedicated spaces to honor other notable figures. A statue was unveiled for Thomas Keller, whose name was previously given to the college's main entrance gate. Additionally, a lanai gathering space on campus was dedicated to Roy Yamaguchi, a 2025 inductee.
The events coincided with other campus activities, including the Board of Trustees meeting, the annual "Run for Your Knives 5K" scholarship walk/run, and the Chili Cook-Off organized by the CIA Alumni Council.
