Cumin Co. Aims to Build Integrated Kitchenware Brand
Indian kitchenware brand Cumin Co. has secured $6.5 million in funding and is developing its own enamel coating for traditional Indian cooking needs.

Indian kitchenware startup Cumin Co. has raised $6.5 million in funding as it aims to establish an integrated kitchenware brand targeting health-conscious consumers. The company is developing its proprietary non-toxic coating technology to address the demands of traditional Indian cooking methods.
Founded in 2025 by Niharika Joshi and Udit Lekhi, Cumin Co. was inspired by concerns over chemical leaching from conventional non-stick cookware. Many Indian cooking techniques, such as high-heat frying and tempering, can exceed the safe operating temperatures of standard PTFE coatings, leading to degradation. Cumin Co.'s patented "Envimax" enamel coating is designed to withstand these conditions.
The brand has achieved significant organic traction, reaching over 30,000 households across India. The $6.5 million funding round includes investments from Fireside Ventures, Huddle Ventures, and Alteria Capital. The company has set a target of ₹100 crore (approximately $12 million) in ARR by the end of FY27.
Cumin Co. plans to expand its product ecosystem beyond cookware, applying its core philosophy of material innovation and premium design to new product lines. This strategy aims to position the company as a leader in the modern Indian kitchen space.
