Cumulus Neuroscience NeuLogiq Platform Suitable for Home Cognitive Assessment in ALS and FTD Patients

Cumulus Neuroscience has published findings in Scientific Reports demonstrating the feasibility and usability of its NeuLogiq® platform for home-based, multimodal cognitive assessment in individuals diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

The final results from the CNS-102 study confirm that the platform can be successfully implemented in patients experiencing significant motor and cognitive impairments. Notably, 82% of participating ALS patients found the device usable.

The NeuLogiq platform allows for cognitive function evaluation within the patient's home environment. This is particularly beneficial for ALS and FTD patients, who may face challenges with mobility and frequent clinic visits. The system aims to provide a more accessible and consistent assessment method.

Cumulus Neuroscience suggests these findings open new avenues for monitoring and managing neurodegenerative conditions by leveraging patient-centric home environments. The proven usability and reliability of the platform are expected to support more accurate and continuous patient monitoring.
