Cyber security has emerged as a critical deciding factor for Americans when selecting digital service providers, surpassing considerations of price or speed alone. According to F-Secure's annual Scam Intelligence & Impacts Report, 93% of US consumers deem it important that their provider offers cyber security measures.

The report indicates that security significantly influences purchasing decisions, with 82% stating that a provider's security features affect their choice. Notably, nearly two-thirds, or 64%, of consumers expressed a willingness to switch their current mobile or broadband provider if offered superior cyber security protection.

These findings highlight a growing consumer concern regarding online safety and data protection. The emphasis on security is reshaping customer expectations and competitive dynamics within the telecommunications and internet service sectors.

The F-Secure "Scam Intelligence & Impacts Report" collected data and insights from consumers across the United States, focusing on their experiences and concerns related to digital services and potential online threats.
