Cyfendo Uses AI to Help Businesses Find Software Vulnerabilities
Silicon Valley cybersecurity firm Cyfendo launches an AI-powered platform designed to assist smaller businesses in identifying and fixing software vulnerabilities, reducing their exposure to cyber threats.

Silicon Valley cybersecurity company Cyfendo, founded by former Google and Meta engineering leader Bryan Vuong, has introduced an AI-assisted platform aimed at bolstering the security posture of smaller businesses. The solution helps developers examine potential software vulnerabilities, investigate exploitability, and review proposed fixes before implementation.
The company's initiative comes amid growing concerns about the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks. A September 2026 report from Google Threat Intelligence Group highlighted how an attacker used an AI-enabled framework to steal thousands of credentials in under six hours.
Cyfendo's platform analyzes source code to provide developers with detailed insights into potential security flaws. The objective is to equip smaller teams with advanced security investigation capabilities typically available only to large technology corporations.
According to the FBI's 2025 Internet Crime Report, U.S. internet crimes resulted in approximately $20.88 billion in reported losses. Small businesses, which number over 36 million in the U.S., are often disproportionately vulnerable to these threats due to limited cybersecurity resources.
