Cyngn Expands Autonomous Tugger Use with Heavy Equipment Manufacturer

Autonomous vehicle technology firm Cyngn (NASDAQ: CYN) announced a follow-on order for its DriveMod Tugger from a major heavy equipment manufacturer, a Fortune 100 company whose name was not disclosed due to competitive reasons.

The expanded deployment will see the customer integrate Cyngn's autonomous material handling into a new production workflow at its heavy equipment manufacturing facility. This marks an extension of the existing relationship between the two companies.

Cyngn CEO Lior Tal highlighted the strategic value of automation for large manufacturers. "Repetitive material movement can create costs beyond labor. Parts must arrive where and when needed without disrupting production. Automating these movements can help facilities reduce logistics costs and free employees for other responsibilities," Tal stated.

The repeat order signifies the success of the initial implementation and illustrates Cyngn's strategy of helping manufacturers identify and scale automation projects. The company focuses on establishing value in an initial workflow before expanding to additional applications or facilities.

The DriveMod Tugger is designed for industrial environments with a towing capacity of up to 12,000 pounds. Its autonomous navigation system allows for the automation of routes without requiring fixed infrastructure like magnetic tape or guide wires.
