Cytrellis Partners with KoreAx for South Korean Commercialization of ellacor® Technology

Cytrellis Biosystems, a medical aesthetics company, announced an agreement with KoreAx Co. Ltd to commercialize its ellacor® Micro-Coring® technology in South Korea. This expansion marks a significant strategic growth milestone for the company, targeting one of the world's fastest-growing and most influential markets for aesthetic treatments.

The ellacor® system, approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in 2025, is described as the first and only FDA-cleared, minimally invasive procedure that removes sagging skin without surgery or thermal energy. This offers South Korean patients a new option for addressing skin laxity in various body areas.

The South Korean medical aesthetics market was valued at an estimated $572 million in 2023 and is projected to reach $1.1 billion by 2029. Market growth is reportedly driven by demand for non-surgical treatments that deliver noticeable results with minimal downtime.
