Czech Metrology Institute Enhances Field Calibration of Charging Stations

The Czech Metrology Institute (CMI), the national authority for metrology in the Czech Republic, has acquired the Easy Chester Calimera system from German company comemso. This mobile solution will be used for the precise calibration of AC and DC charging stations directly at operational sites, addressing the growing need for reliable verification of charging infrastructure.

CMI required a system capable of performing accurate and traceable measurements in real-world conditions. The Easy Chester Calimera was integrated into one of CMI's service vehicles, creating a fully mobile calibration platform. This allows CMI to verify energy measurement accuracy, ensure transparent billing, and confirm regulatory compliance directly at the point of charging.

The Easy Chester Calimera is designed for field use, combining robust construction with high-precision measurement technology. It supports measurements up to 1000 V and 500 A across various charging standards, including CCS1, CCS2, CHAdeMO, and NACS, utilizing user-friendly interfaces and automated workflows for efficient field operations.

CMI's investment highlights the increasing importance of dependable, field-ready calibration solutions for the electric mobility sector. Comemso is supporting CMI in advancing metrology for electric vehicle charging.
