US-based automaker Czinger has released details on its 21C hybrid hypercar, a vehicle emphasizing advanced engineering and significant performance metrics. The carbon-fiber-bodied car is powered by a bespoke 2.88-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of reaching 11,000 rpm.
This internal combustion engine is augmented by a three-motor electric system. One electric motor is dedicated to each front wheel, while a third functions as a starter-generator. The combined output is rated at 1,250 horsepower and 937 Nm of torque, managed by a seven-speed automated manual transaxle.
The Czinger 21C Vmax variant is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.92 seconds, with a top speed of 253 mph. The track-focused 21C High Downforce model recently established lap records at five different California racetracks during a 1,000-mile road trip.
