D-Wave Quantum faces securities class action over growth disclosures

D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NYSE: QBTS) is the subject of a securities class action lawsuit alleging the company provided misleading information regarding its business prospects and growth. The lawsuit covers the period between February 26, 2026, and August 25, 2026.

The litigation follows significant stock price volatility in August 2026. Shares fell 9.28% on August 6 after the company reported second-quarter revenue that failed to meet analyst expectations. A further 9.51% decline occurred on August 26, following the resignation of the company's chief financial officer. The complaint alleges that management materially overstated the firm's commercial momentum and failed to disclose that such messaging could negatively impact the company's reputation.

Joseph E. Levi of Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, which is representing the interests of investors, stated that the complaint claims shareholders were not adequately warned of the risks associated with the company’s growth outlook. The United States District Court for the Northern District of California has set a deadline of December 15, 2026, for investors to apply for appointment as lead plaintiff.
