Dag Teigland appointed CEO of Elkem ASA
Elkem ASA has appointed Dag Teigland as its new chief executive officer, effective August 3, 2026. Current CEO Helge Aasen will transition to chairman of the board.
Elkem ASA announced Tuesday the appointment of Dag Teigland as the company's new chief executive officer. Teigland will assume the CEO role on August 3, 2026.
Helge Aasen, who has led Elkem as CEO since 2009, will step down from his executive position. Aasen is set to take on the role of chairman of the board.
Teigland brings over two decades of experience in the industrial and investment sectors to Elkem. He currently serves as executive chairman of the board for Tekna Holding ASA, a provider of advanced metal powders for industrial applications.
The leadership change is intended to guide Elkem's strategic direction and operational development within the global manufacturing landscape.
