Dairy Association Launches School Food Information Hub

The Dairy Association of Lower Saxony (Landesvereinigung der Milchwirtschaft Niedersachsen e.V., LVN) has launched a new website titled "Newsletter Feed für weiterführende Schulen" (Newsletter Feed for Secondary Schools). This platform is intended for secondary schools and aims to provide information and materials to improve school meal services.

The website lists upcoming events such as the "Tag der Schulverpflegung 2026" (Day of School Catering 2026) scheduled for June 5, 2026, and the "Zukunft Schulverpflegung" (Future of School Catering) conference on November 21, 2025. It also highlights previously released materials, including the "Milchland-Games for Kids," which were made available on February 21, 2025.

LVN has also undertaken revisions of its educational resources, such as the "M(-erk)-Charts" (M(-er)k Charts). The latest update to these charts was on December 13, 2024, with a prior revision on August 25, 2023. These materials are designed to support the teaching of milk and dairy products in educational settings.

The initiative underscores the LVN's commitment to promoting the quality of school meals and educating young people about the benefits of dairy. The online platform serves as a central point of information for educators, students, and anyone involved in school catering.
